Tide
Now screening
Each summer a girl and her grandfather build sandcastles. Each season the tide takes more of the beach, and more of his memory, until she teaches him to build.

We finish before we announce. Runtime earned, not padded. Wet streets, still stations, stories that cost something. On the slate: Tide, an animated short about a girl, her grandfather, and the sandcastles the sea keeps taking; The Gardener of Ward 9, about a small robot that keeps one plant alive on an abandoned station; and Paper Sky, an anime short about two kids trading paper-plane letters across a bay. Earlier experiments, like ARIN, live on their own shelf.
No invented laurels. Just the work on the slate, and the next picture when it finds its hour.
